Celebrate Indie Authorship with this colorful reminder of our Independence! If we’re not having fun writing, we’re not doing it right!
Thanks to Ali Isaac, whose comment on Life Imitating Art Imitating Life…. inspired this post.
Click on the image to print this poster, to go with your copies of Desiderwriter and the Authors’ Anthem. All handouts will be available on the Downloads page, too (see main menu, above).
Please advise if any of the PDFs don’t load or print correctly. I’ve used a large number of decorative fonts in my downloadable documents. If ugly, sans-serif fonts are substituted, it means the decorative fonts didn’t embed properly. Thanks!

Thank you, very much! I feel strongly about our vocation as Writing Artists, and I enjoy creating with computer graphics. Both just seemed to come together, in this piece.

Thank you, Ken. I hope that all Indies can hold on to the same kind of happiness and pride in their work, as I felt when I took up residence as an Author in the Parallel Universe!

What a great idea, Christine. Love it! Reblogging on geraldineevansbooks.com. Also posting a link on kboards as I’m sure they’ll love it there, too. Well done. 🙂

You’re welcome. Your Indie Author Coat of Arms tickled the hell out of me. How about an Indie Author flag next? If we’re independent, we gotta have a flag (probably better not to make it a commie red background with a blue two-finger salute, though!). Maybe a patrician nose raised in the air in defiance at all the slurs we indies have to put up with! Only joking. Sure you can come up with something great. BTW, is it okay for me to put the Coat of Arms permanently on my website? With acknowledgement. You’re doing a grand job, Christine. Keep it up.

Ah, yes: “Do you have a flag? No flag, no country!” I’ll get on it, right away!
I’ve posted an Official Badge version of the Coat of Arms, in The Final Flare-up widget, in my sidebar. You’re welcome to copy the badge and download a PDF copy of the Ams, to post the badge in your sidebar, and link it to the PDF in your media file. I’ve begun planning an associated blog site, which will distribute more of this sort of stuff for Indies.
Thank you for your encouragement, and your example, as an Indie Author!

Hey, glad your fire’s well and truly lit! What can I say? We want a Constitution! We want a Constitution! And a parliament. Bags me for Prime Minister, with a nice, fat pension. 🙂
Thanks Christine. I’ll get on tomorrow and put the flag in my sidebar. It’s gonna look good. Just above the Alliance of Independent Authors badge, I think.

How cool! When do the t-shirts go on sale? 🙂

T-shirts! Yes! And all sorts of fun swag! I’m working on setting that up, as we speak. I hope to have an online store Grand Opening, by Halloween. 🙂
