These images are gorgeous. I’d love to go to Ireland some day. I’ve been to England, but haven’t made it to Scotland or Ireland yet.

I went to Ireland as part of my research when I was writing the novel, and I stayed for two weeks. Couldn’t get as much done as I wanted to do – I was backpacking (this was not a tour group trip), and about killed myself doing it, but I still had a good time. I can recommend Athlumney Manor B&B, in Navan, County Meath. (http://www.athlumneymanor.com/) My advice: go before arthritis sets in, so you can get the kind of photos you want. Most of the beautiful pictures you see in photojournalism books can’t be taken from the roadside, but require hiking and climbing. I accumulated a bunch of great photo books, some of which I listed on my Library page (above). Until you get to go, maybe you can borrow some of them through inter-library loan.

Thanks for the info. I’d love to get there within the next few years.
