Irish Firebrands Adventures: Trim Castle.

Trim Castle, Co Meath, Ireland, at sunrise, by Andrew Parnell.

Trim Castle is smack dab in the middle of Baile Atha Troim (the town of Trim). It’s one of the biggest and most complete ruins remaining from its day. It was used as one of the sets for the film Braveheart.

In Irish Firebrands, Dillon Carroll’s flat is across the street and a few strides down the block from the barbican in the curtain wall. I imagined the view from his window to be something like this photo.
