Beat the “brave new world” on your own terms, by reading much and reading widely. Buy new, if you can. If you can’t buy new, buy used. If you can’t buy at all, ask your public library to buy the book you want, and then borrow it. Fiction or non-fiction, patronize the providers of written words, and if they’re Indie Author-Publishers, so much the better!
